At Least 600 Jobs Coming to Rogers

ROGERS, AR -- At least 600 jobs are coming to the City of Rogers as British company Serco plans to open up shop Oct. 1, 2013 in the old Emerson Building on North 13th Street.

The company, which works with such organizations as the Department of Defense and Central Intelligence Agency, will use the Rogers facility for processing health insurance applications and as a customer support center for people applying for coverage.

City leaders say Serco has also indicated plans to push for hiring veterans. Click here for a link to the company's website.

"This is a very exciting announcement for Rogers and all of Northwest Arkansas," says Rogers Mayor Greg Hines. "Announcing the creation of 600-1000 new jobs in this highly-competitive national job market is a huge win for the region. With Rogers being selected as one of the three site locations in the United States, says a lot about the pro-business climate in Rogers."
