Imagine this: You're minding your own business, shopping at?Costco, and a complete stranger approaches and says with a straight face, "Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number. Call me maybe." Or perhaps?you're just trying to choose a nice collared shirt, and you're asked, "Is it me you're looking for? I can see it in your eyes ..."
That's exactly what happened to unsuspecting shoppers when a writer for the "Ellen" show went to the big box store and was tasked with chatting people up, but only using song lyrics to do so.
Watch the hidden-camera prank -- people take this stranger with an aptitude for spoken verse very seriously when she starts lobbing lyrics from Lionel Richie, Carly Rae Jepsen, the Spice Girls and more.
Be sure to watch all the way through; the ending is surprisingly sweet.
