PadGadget Weekly App Series ? Apps for Personal Finance ...

For today?s Weekly App Series we?ve found five great apps to add to your iPad collection. Our editorial team goes through the data, picks the best and most interesting apps and then brings them to you on a regular basis.

1. Pageonce- Money & Bills (Free)?is one of the most popular finance apps in the App Store and is sure to help you keep your finances straight. This useful budget app lets users track their bank account information, credit card purchases and loan transactions in one convenient place. Many people in today?s technology-driven society will regularly log onto various web pages to see their monthly statements or pay bills online. With Pageonce, you only have to log in once. The app aggregates all of your financial institutions through proprietary software. The app will also send you alerts when bills are due and it includes a calendar for scheduling upcoming payments.

2. Mint.com- Personal Finance (Free) ? This finance tracker is backed by the creators of Intuit and Turbo Tax. It features everything you need to keep track of multiple accounts and see where you spend your money.? Once you?ve entered your various bank accounts, loan accounts and other pertinent financial institutions, the app will pull all transaction information and even categorize the transactions for you. With the recent 2.4.200 update, users can now split their transactions. If you bought a birthday gift and some groceries at Target, you?ll now be able to divide that transaction into two different categories. This app is perfect for that ?Type A? personality in you.

3. Shoeboxed Receipt Tracker and Receipt Reader (Free)?If you are the kind of person that stuffs your receipts in your wallet or purse with the intention of putting the information into an expense report later, but never seem to find the time to do it, this app will save your disorganized butt. All you have to do is take a picture of your receipt and the app will scan the information and automatically enter the date, total, payment type, store and category into a report that you can then export to Excel, Quickbooks and many other expense report software programs. This app is indispensable for traveling businessmen and people who need to keep track of receipts for invoicing clients. The app comes with the ability to scan and import five receipts per month for free.

4. Debt Payoff Pro ($0.99)?If it is time to plan out how to get out of debt, or at least lower your debt, the first place to start is figuring out how much you owe and then how you are going to pay it off. This app helps you organize and budget out your debt reduction future. By utilizing the ?Debt-Snowball? method, users will be able to attack their various debts, one-by-one, until they are all paid off. It includes a payoff calculator, a mortgage and loan calculator and various options for payoff strategies. You can pay off credit cards based on highest balance first, lowest balance first, and so on. It will track your progress and create reports for remaining debt, interest paid and even payoff dates. If you?ve been thinking about getting out of debt, this is the app to help you get organized and make it happen.

5. Stock Watchlist ($3.99) If you have been keeping track of Facebook?s famous IPO kerfuffle and have found yourself regularly checking the Stock Market, you may want to pick up this app. You can create your own, real-time watchlist to see how a particular stock is doing and track its daily successes and failures. You can add as many companies as you like and watch their stock quotes change as it happens. The app includes news and financial highlights, stock forecasts and other information on the current state of the Stock Market.
