Spotify Radio hits iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch ... - Know Your Cell

Spotify on Tuesday announced the launch of Spotify Radio, a free streaming mobile radio service. Similar to Pandora, Spotify Radio is now available for free on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

If you are not familiar with Spotify by now, it is a music streaming service with over two million paid subscribers worldwide. Up until Tuesday, the company only offered Spotify Radio to premium desktop users and subscribers in Europe. Many Spotify fans had complained for quite some time that the radio service was not available here in the U.S. since launch.

With Spotify Radio, Spotify users can now stream custom stations, songs, or album-based radio stations to Apple?s iOS devices for free. Spotify Radio also makes recommendations based on user data combined with data based on playlists users create.

All in all, it's nice to see Spotify Radio finally come to mobile here in the states. As a longtime Pandora listener, I'll definitely give it a try. Hopefully a version of Spotify Radio comes to Android as well, but we'll jus have to wait and see right now.

Spotify Radio will be available for free here in the United States. The service is available now in the iOS App Store via updated versions of the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch apps.?

Will you take Spotify Radio for a spin? Or are you sticking with Pandora?
